Some "Today" show viewers may have noticed Savannah Guthrie is missing, but the popular host's absence is only temporary.

The Today show co-anchor has taken a brief hiatus from her post to rest and recover from vocal chord surgery in the new year.

Guthrie, 54, revealed in December that she was taking a break from the morning show in order to undergo surgery.
