We will be firing up our steam crane for demonstrations on Sunday, May 26. The crane was purchased by the railroad in 1907. We restored it to operation in 2005. Having an operational steam crane is very helpful. We have used it in derailments and to take a roof off a building. We are firing it up for two reasons. The first, because it is just plan cool.
